So, I kind of took an unscheduled month off there, huh? There was moving house, sorting out the cleaning and gardening at the old cottage, and then I got sick for a couple of weeks. Also, Christmas happened, although mostly to other people this year. What’s happening to me is some essential time off work and a whole lot of sleeping. I totally lost track of what day it was in there somewhere, and that was A Good Thing.
I’ve just started thinking in complete sentences again, but only a few a time ‘cos then I get tired. There was a bunch of admin type stuff I was supposed to do this week; in fact, I’ve watched season 4 of Buffy and drunk enough Lapsang to flood Oxfordshire. As if it needed any additional help with the flooding, but the incessant rain is taking care of that. I’m jealous of your snow, CT peeps! Tell me it’s not coming with bright blue skies and winter sunshine too? Swap you for some endless grey…?
Meanwhile, the official policy here at new Musings Towers is that 2013 is ages away. I just don’t see why the years have to keep rushing on into each other, so I’d like a nice hiatus between one and t’other, please. I feel very strongly that there’s more sleeping to be done, followed by a healthy dose of vacation and then a smidgin of downtime. Then it’ll be time for some holiday, a bit of a break and perhaps a little R&R.
Lazy, moi? You betcha.
I don’t want to go back to work either, and I’ve only been off for a week! Christmas kind of came suddenly and I know we’re in the midst of it, but I get this feeling it’s going to go by and I’ll still be looking for the feeling of being in a break. I’m sorry you were sick, but really, most of the month not at work sounds heavenly even if you were unpacking and sorting. I hope you are settling into your new home, and that you don’t have to move for a very long time! I can attest to how good it is to not move, for several years. I love it.
Happy Christmas, and may 2013 be tranquil and let you do lots of shopping and reading.
Susan – Oh I didn’t get a month off work, I don’t think I could go back if I was away for that long. The moving etc happened alongside work, except for a couple of sick days and this time off over Christmas. I hope you feel you did benefit from the break, and thanks for the good wishes for next year. Back atcha!
